What’s a ‘Hat Tipi’ you ask? All of the tipis within our Hat range resemble the shape of a giant witch’s hat, in that the bottom of the tipi is lifted off the ground rather than conical in shape like a regular tipi. A benefit of a Hat tipi design is the ability to link with other tipis to easily solve the issue of limited space if needed.
We have designed several customisable options for the Little Hat Tipi to provide shelter from the rain while giving a comforting, enclosed feeling. This includes a flexible wall system that provides weather protection, privacy, and the definition of floor space. It is possible to add a partial wall or cover all eight walls to fully enclose the space.

Both tipi and teepee refer to the same canvas and wooden type structure. However, there are spelling variations, meaning tipi can be spelt as tepee or teepee. Interestingly, the word tipi translates to mean “they dwell” in the Lakota language.
