Following the government’s decision to offer free childcare funding for children aged 9 months upwards from 2024, nurseries have been inundated with applications for new starters. ITV recently reported that 67% of nurseries require expansion of their premises within the next 12 months to cope with demand, but most won’t have the budget for a permanent extension in that timeframe.

Another issue the sector faces is the time to complete such an extension. Building a new extension takes on average two years, from enlisting an architect to signing off design revisions, applying for planning permission, waiting for it to be granted and then enlisting a building company to complete the build. Twelve months just isn’t long enough.

If this colour isn’t suitable for your offering – for example, where planning permission is more restrictive, or you want the tipis to blend into the surrounding environment more – our alternative colourways of Forest and Mocha are available for you to choose from.
